1910 Revisited
A new shingle-style home replaced a one-story rancher on this desirable waterfront property.
Throughout the design process, we were reminded to “think 1910” at all times. Thus, high ceilings, generously proportioned rooms, multi-part trim, quarter-sawn oak flooring, shingled exteriors, a turreted tower and very minimal light fixtures fulfilled their goal. Air conditioning that is seldom used, home-grown flowers/vegetables and even a root cellar continue the theme.
