Captain's Quarters
This historic American Four-Square was one of twelve built in the neighborhood during the same time span. Existing porches were incorporated into the interior, at both levels, by the removal of load-bearing exterior walls and the insertion of large steel beams. A sympathetic porch was added to the primary street face and the interior layout modified for today’s lifestyle. Virtually every finish material was either replaced or restored and all systems of the house – mechanical, electrical, plumbing - were replaced.
This project was published as the center-fold article in BUILDER magazine.
